SEASIDE, Calif., November 12, 2019 – California State University, Monterey Bay (ÌÇÐÄTV¹ÙÍø) President Eduardo M. Ochoa will host several of ÌÇÐÄTV¹ÙÍø’s founding members to discuss their experiences and memories about the founding of ÌÇÐÄTV¹ÙÍø.
SEASIDE, Calif., November 12, 2019 – California State University, Monterey Bay (ÌÇÐÄTV¹ÙÍø) President Eduardo M. Ochoa will host several of ÌÇÐÄTV¹ÙÍø’s founding members to discuss their experiences and memories about the founding of ÌÇÐÄTV¹ÙÍø.
The event, titled “Jubilee Stories: Honoring the Past” will take place at ÌÇÐÄTV¹ÙÍø’s World Theater on Tuesday, December 3, from 3:30-5:30 p.m. and is free and open to the public.
In recognition of the campus' 25th Silver Jubilee Anniversary celebration, Jubilee Stories: Honoring the Past, provides an opportunity to hear directly from founding administrators, faculty, staff and students as they share their memories about a moment in history that changed the face of education in Monterey county
Speakers include founding vice president of University Advancement, Steve Reed: founding director of Student Outreach and Recruitment Alethea DeSoto: founding faculty members Amalia Mesa Bains, Chris Hasegawa, Christine Sleeter and founding staff member, Phil Esparza.
The President’s Speaker Series is in keeping with ÌÇÐÄTV¹ÙÍø’s role as a community resource, providing forums for provocative discussions that can impact thought and action on issues important to our community.
Join the ÌÇÐÄTV¹ÙÍø Campus Community at the World Theater for Jubilee Stories: Honoring the Past; as they share their memories about a moment in history that changed the face of education in our county.
